Photowalk

As part of the National Conference "Melange," the Department of English and Cultural Studies at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is hosting a Photowalk to the Mysore Rail Museum on February 9, 2024. This immersive experience seeks to provide participants with a unique opportunity to visually investigate and document the histories weaved around railways. The photowalk would be a beautiful experience and is open for all.

Participants will embark on an immersive journey, documenting moments along the way that capture the dynamic landscapes and diversity of human experiences within the railway environment. The highlight of the photowalk is an immersive visit to the Mysore Rail Museum, which has a wonderful collection of historic locomotives and coaches. These artefacts serve as visual anchors, allowing people to trace the rich history and growth of railways while demonstrating technological innovation and historical relevance.

Through this comprehensive experience, participants will develop a more profound understanding of the historical and cultural narratives linked with railways.
